Philip Deane
Finance Director & Founder
Philip is a founder member of Oriel IPO. Philip qualified as an accountant in 1992 within a practice in Oxford and today is the Managing Director of his own very successful Accountancy Practice.
Philip has a wide range of experience, and whereas his practice deals with all aspects of accountancy, his specialist field is in working with business owners ensuring their companies operate in the most tax efficient way possible.
William Sinclair
Managing Director & Founder
William is a founder member of Oriel IPO. William comes from a commercial background and has been both CEO and MD of several successful Innovative companies.
William has for the last thirteen years been working as a specialist Consultant alongside Philip and has specialised in overseas taxation, Research and Development, and both SEIS and EIS schemes. It was whilst doing this, he first identified the desperate need for the Oriel IPO Marketplace.
Debra Parsley
Operations Director & Founder
Debra is a founder member of Oriel IPO. Debra started her career working in administration at a solicitors practice, subsequently taking on Operations, business and customer service management roles within the retail, hospitality and IT sectors.
Debra brings to the team a wealth of experience and is highly skilled in managing large and small teams, co-ordinating all aspects of the Company activities including business operations, project management, legal compliance, HR and H&S. She is responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of Oriel IPO.
Rob Piper
Marketing Consultant
Rob has more than 20 years experience in driving business growth through sales and marketing initiatives. He works closely with innovative start-ups to help them navigate the modern marketing landscape, and justify investment where applicable through marketing plans, campaigns, and ROI-data.
Rob's sector experience is mainly within Technology, where he has developed an overarching understanding of UX, CX, and Conversion Optimisation across most areas of digital marketing.

Anthony Mcgarel-Groves
Investment Director
A seasoned Chartered Accountant with a BSc in Economics, Anthony brings over four decades of financial and general management expertise. Managing a diverse portfolio exceeding $5B and serving pivotal roles from the Kuwait Investment Office to the helm of American equities at Investec Guinness, he has consistently delivered top-tier results.
A founder and Investment Director at Oriel IPO, his experience spans asset allocation, electronic dealing innovations, and prolific writing in investment journals. Anthony's rich career is complemented by his diverse interests, ranging from politics and history to classic cars and theatre.
Bob Stratton
Bob is the technical expert behind Oriel IPO's innovative platform. With over 30 years experience in software development, he has a knack for crafting user-friendly interfaces and ensuring robust security.
Bob's expertise spans various tech stacks and industries, but his passion lies in bridging the gap between technology and finance. At Oriel IPO, he's turned this passion into a reality, creating a platform that seamlessly connects startups and investors.
Juliette Kirwan
Juliette is Chief Investment Officer at Newland Estates. Her career has been grounded in economic forecasting. She worked for HSBC and was the first female to be recruited onto their international staff. While in Hong Kong she worked in corporate banking, assessing risk and building relationships with corporate clients.
Juliette also worked in the dealing room, trading foreign exchange. She spent time working in Dubai as a retail customer manager managing a department of 40 staff.
Juliette is an excellent communicator and in her spare time works for a charity helping young people with mental health issues.
Patrick Kirwan
Patrick is the Managing Director of Newland Estates International, an award-winning
commercial property developer and investor.
Patrick's early career started in Budapest, working for the JLL retail advisory team for Central and Eastern Europe. In 2001 Patrick founded Newland Estates, a development company responsible for developing and investing across the UK, Europe and Africa. In 2021 in association with Newland Estates, Patrick was appointed Chief Development Officer on behalf of OTP Bank for Emonika, a 99,000 m2 GLA mixed-use complex.
Patrick is a proven property professional, who has successfully established, developed, managed, and sold property and property companies throughout the UK, Europe and Africa.
