Best Practices for Managing Your SEIS & EIS Shares with Oriel IPO

Unlock Seamless Share Management with Our Share Scheme Platform

Managing SEIS and EIS shares can feel like juggling paperwork, spreadsheets and deadlines. It’s easy to miss a compliance date or lose track of your reinvestment plan. That’s where a dedicated share scheme platform steps in, smoothing out the bumps so you can focus on growth. With Oriel IPO’s intuitive interface, you’ll see everything in one place: shareholdings, dividends, compliance checks, and more.

In this post, you’ll discover practical tips to get the most from your SEIS and EIS scheme. We’ll cover key benefits, common pitfalls and how Oriel IPO’s subscription-based, commission-free model transforms share management. Ready to see the difference? Revolutionise investment with our share scheme platform.

Understanding SEIS & EIS Schemes

What is SEIS?

The Seed Enterprise Investment Scheme helps investors back early-stage startups with:
– Up to 50% Income Tax relief
– Capital Gains Tax exemption on shares held for three years
– Inheritance Tax relief after two years

It’s a lifeline for founders seeking early capital and for investors hunting tax-efficient opportunities.

What is EIS?

The Enterprise Investment Scheme supports slightly more mature startups. You get:
– 30% Income Tax relief
– Capital Gains deferral on reinvested gains
– Loss relief if the company underperforms

In short, EIS broadens your risk appetite and defers key taxes.

Key Benefits at a Glance

  • Significant tax incentives
  • Portfolio diversification into high-growth ventures
  • Potential for exemption on future gains

Why You Need a Dedicated Share Scheme Platform

Manual share-registry tasks often mean:
– Late filings
– Untracked dividends
– Confusion over tax deadlines

Traditional registrars (like Computershare Investor Centre) offer generic tools for change of address, bank details or dividend reinvestment. They tick boxes. They don’t guide you through complex SEIS/EIS rules, or link you to new startups under subscription— they charge per transaction and leave you to puzzle over compliance.

With Oriel IPO you get:
– A commission-free marketplace
– A single dashboard for SEIS/EIS
– Curated, vetted startup opportunities

Startups can showcase your startup and connect with investors and keep more of the funds raised. Accountants and advisers gain clear, tax-focused workflows. Investors stay on top of their holdings without buried fees.

Best Practices for Managing SEIS & EIS Shares with Oriel IPO

Keep Your Documentation Up to Date

• Store all share certificates and compliance proof in the Oriel IPO Hub.
• Update corporate resolutions, articles of association or board minutes as soon as they change.
• Use version control to track who did what, when.

Track Dividends and Reinvestments

Regularly review your dividend history to spot patterns. With SEIS you might reinvest using a Dividend Reinvestment Plan. Oriel IPO’s reports show exactly when and how much you’ve got back. No guesses, no delays.

Pro tip: Automate alerts for upcoming dividend payments, so you never miss reinvestment windows. Discover startup opportunities on our platform.

Monitor Compliance and SEIS/EIS Limits

SEIS and EIS have strict funding caps. Keep an eye on:
– Individual investment limits
– Company fundraising thresholds
– Qualifying trades

Oriel IPO flags potential breaches. You get a nudge before HMRC notices.

Use Notifications and Reports

Set up weekly or monthly summaries. You’ll see:
– New share issues
– Dividend payment dates
– Changes in shareholding structure

These insights stop surprises. They help you plan tax returns and board meetings without a scramble.

Leverage Educational Resources

Our platform is packed with guides, webinars and checklists. Whether you’re an accountant or an angel investor, you’ll find clear, actionable advice on:
– Claiming SEIS/EIS relief
– Structuring follow-on rounds
– Dealing with share exits

To support your advisor network, you can support your investor clients with SEIS EIS guidance.

Collaborate with Professional Advisers

Share access with your solicitor, tax adviser or finance team. They can:
– Review documents
– Suggest compliance tweaks
– Co-host webinars via the Hub

This shared workspace turns paperwork into progress.

Halfway through? Need to centralise everything? Revolutionise investment with our share scheme platform.

How Oriel IPO Stands Out Against Traditional Registrars

Computershare Investor Centre helps you change addresses or sign up for dividend reinvestment. It’s reliable for general share services. But for SEIS/EIS specialists, you need more:

• No per-transaction fees.
• Curated deals that meet SEIS/EIS rules.
• Commission-free fundraising for startups.
• Subscription model with transparent pricing.
• In-platform education on tax relief.

You’ll find limited tax guidance on a generic registry. With Oriel IPO management is proactive. You see your share capital, hold certificates, run reports and connect with founders—all from one dashboard.
