Comparing Mercia EIS Funds: How Oriel IPO’s Commission-Free Marketplace Offers Superior Access

Unlocking the Power of SEIS/EIS Investment UK

In a world where early-stage startups need capital and investors crave tax incentives, the UK’s SEIS and EIS schemes shine. They offer up to 50% Income Tax relief for SEIS and 30% for EIS, plus Capital Gains Tax advantages. Yet finding the right deal isn’t always simple. Traditional players like Mercia Asset Management bundle dozens of startups into hefty funds. That can feel impersonal and costly.

Oriel IPO flips the script with a commission-free, curated marketplace. You see each opportunity. You pick what suits your risk appetite. And you pay a clear subscription to access licence-compliant deals. All geared for SEIS/EIS investment UK success. Revolutionising Investment Opportunities in the UK SEIS/EIS investment UK Market

What Are Mercia EIS Funds?

Mercia Asset Management has built one of the largest combined SEIS/EIS pools in the UK. Their funds typically:

Invest in 15–20 tech-focused startups per fund
Commit £1m–£5m at seed or pre-seed stage
Charge an annual management fee (often 1.5%) plus performance fees
Run for 7–10 years with fixed investment rounds

This traditional approach brings scale and professional oversight. Yet it can also mean less flexibility for individual investors and hidden charges that erode returns.

Traditional Fund Model vs Oriel IPO’s Marketplace

Fees and Transparency

Mercia’s fees add up. A 1.5% annual charge on £100,000 means £1,500 each year. Plus 20% on gains above a hurdle rate. Oriel IPO’s subscription model is simple: one annual fee, no haulage fees on your returns.

Control and Choice

In Mercia’s pooled fund, you’re a small fish in a big pond. Oriel IPO hands you the rod. You browse each SEIS/EIS listing, review eligibility, chat with founders, then choose.

Licence Compliance and Vetting

Mercia’s reputation speaks volumes. Oriel IPO matches that with rigorous due diligence. Each company meets SEIS/EIS HMRC criteria. You get the same peace of mind, plus a transparent log of compliance checks.

Tax Benefits

Both approaches deliver the same core tax perks:
– Up to 50% Income Tax relief on SEIS
– Up to 30% Income Tax relief on EIS
– Capital Gains Tax exemption after holding for three years

Oriel IPO adds educational guides so you grasp every nuance. No guesswork.

Why Commission-Free Matters

Ever wondered how much a 2% fee really costs? On a £50,000 investment, that’s £1,000 per year. Over five years, £5,000 gone. That’s money you’ll wish you still had when your startups thrive.

Oriel IPO’s commission-free marketplace means:

Startups keep more of what they raise
Investors retain more of their gains
Clear costs inspire confidence

No confusing fee schedules. No surprises at exit.

A Curated, Licence-Compliant Platform

Oriel IPO is more than a listing site. It’s a full-service, SEIS/EIS investment UK hub. Features include:

That DIY spirit works for seasoned angels and newcomers alike. You diversify how you like. You invest at your pace. And you see every stage.
